Jennifer Jiles built her wide and diverse strategic communications consulting lens by moving seamlessly between clients in sports, Fortune 100 companies, higher education, nonprofit organizations, entertainment, and the arts. Jennifer’s strengths as a strategist and communications leader spring from the diversity of her experience: Managing a crisis for the estate of a deceased global pop star, representing a 2021 Olympic athlete, devising communications strategies that fuel multimillion dollar fundraising campaigns, ideating a narrative change campaign for a National Native American Organization, and leading global communications for a Fortune 500 cyber security company. Jennifer is an educator at heart: Since 1996, she has been a professor of communication at Georgia State University, which is classified as a Research 1 university in the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education, and she is a facilitator for the Georgia Center for Nonprofits’ leadership university. She is co-creator, co-producer, and host of the podcast, “Breaking Barriers,” on Up2Me Radio & Podcasts network. Jennifer is a member of the Editorial Review Board for Giving USA: The Annual Report on Philanthropy, the seminal publication reporting on the sources and uses of charitable giving in the United States. Giving USA is a public service initiative of the prestigious Giving Institute.
We coined the phrase “Seeing Around Corners” to describe our strategic planning process for clients. We anticipate challenges. We look for opportunities that may not have presented themselves just yet. When we discover them, they are strategically integrated into the roadmap we build for the client. We develop strategic plans, annual plans, and long-term plans for clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to arts and culture centers in New York City, the nation's art capital.
We manage fundraising-related communications strategies for nonprofit
organizations led by A-list celebrities as well as non-celebrity people who are
quietly doing the heavy lifting of managing service organizations. In 2022, a
44 Consulting Group client was awarded a $1MM grant based on a proposal
we crafted.
Change is a constant in today’s marketplace and communication to support change management is no longer considered a “soft” function. Business leaders know what we know: communication is a management function and integral to driving employee engagement and performance, especially during change. From organizational systems change to work teams, our principal consultant helps leaders effectively use communication in the change management mix.

Effective spokespeople are made, not born. Training makes all the difference. Our principal uses her years of experience working with journalists and as a journalist and media spokesperson to devise tailored training for clients. She has coached or trained dozens of professionals to represent their organizations as eloquent and confident spokespeople in a wide range of media situations.
A crisis can happen to any organization anytime, anywhere. We believe that every crisis presents an organization with opportunities—from inspiring the confidence of stakeholders to introducing new policies. Our work in managing a broad range of crises and critical issues has helped companies, nonprofit organizations, and academic institutions meet the unpredictability of a crisis or the challenge of managing critical issues with their reputations undamaged and stakeholders maintaining confidence in their products and services.

Led by Jennifer Jiles, Jen’s Pen is a dynamic practice within 44 Consulting Group that solves a problem challenging many companies and organizations: the need for strategic writing, messaging, and content creation tailored to speak to their audiences. Jennifer is a professional writer and editor and a ghostwriter and book collaborator to authors. Most recently, she was the ghostwriter of a new book on diversity, equity, and inclusion, released in 2022. She has collaborated on three other books, one that became a national bestseller in 2003. As a ghostwriter, book authors entrust Jennifer to coach them or translate their concepts, ideas, and knowledge into engaging content that draws readers and audiences. She has helped several authors go from concept to written product and achieve success in the marketplace.
Her content development work includes script writing for live productions and events, corporate communication, annual reports, executive communications, digital communications, publications, media communications, website editor services, speeches, and Cases for Support to advance fundraising campaigns.
Over some 25 years, Jennifer has provided these services to more than 50 companies, organizations, and academic institutions.
Through 44 Consulting Group’s collaboration with a Los Angeles-based public relations, marketing, and event planning firm, we provide entertainment clients, businesses, and celebrities with impactful media and public relations services. With our Los Angeles office, we have served several high-profile clients since 2019, including athletes, nonprofit organizations, and executives. Services include press releases, media outreach, strategy, crisis management, communications plans, content creation, and publicity.
